Does Sweating During Exercise Means a Sign of Your Metabolism Speeding Up?

Many people know they need to exercise in order to lose weight, but does that mean that during exercising, you are sweating and does that mean your metabolism is speeding up.

The scientific description for this is “exercise-associated thermogenesis.” When exercising your body is producing heat which helps you burn calories.  So the more heat you create the more calories you burn.  That is something to keep in mind when exercising. The sweating actually is a way to cool down the body heat, but at the same time, the more you sweat the better the workout as long as you don’t over do it.

That is also why many people don’t gain the weight during summer but rather during winter. They sweat less as well as they move around less.

So it is great to sweat during exercise and it definitly is a sign of your metabolism speeding up, but you should also make sure you keep your body hydrated.
